What it costs a 20-person agency
20 people on Pro is €60£59.80 a month. That is our own bill: Peppernode, the agency that builds PepperPlanner, has 20 people and runs on it. Below is what the same 20 people cost on the planners we trialled before building our own, at the entry-level and the most popular plan of each, on monthly billing.
| Tool | Plan | Per person / month | 20 people / month | What a "person" is |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PepperPlanner | Pro | €3£2.99 | €60£59.80 | every person in the workspace |
| Float | Starter, billed monthly | $7 | $140 | per person added to the schedule |
| Float | Pro, billed monthly | $12 | $240 | per person added to the schedule |
| Resource Guru | Grasshopper, billed monthly | $5 | $100 | per person in the account, whether they log in or not |
| Resource Guru | Blackbelt, billed monthly | $8 | $160 | per person in the account, whether they log in or not |
| Runn | Lite, billed monthly, minimum 20 seats | $7 | $140 | per resource seat (each person in the planner) |
| Runn | Standard, billed monthly, minimum 20 seats | $11 | $220 | per resource seat (each person in the planner) |
Competitor prices as published on their pricing pages, checked on . Annual billing is cheaper on all three. They also do more than we do in places: Float has time tracking and deeper reporting, Resource Guru books rooms and equipment, Runn forecasts revenue. If you need those, the difference in price may be worth it.
Pricing questions
What counts as a user?
Everyone in the workspace: people who log in and people who are only planned. A developer who never opens PepperPlanner but has bars on the Schedule is a user. Free covers 5; Pro is €3 per user per month for each of them.
What happens when a Free workspace reaches its limit?
You can keep using everything you already have. Adding a 6th person or a 4th project asks you to start a Pro trial or upgrade. Nothing is deleted and nothing goes read-only on Free.
How does billing work when people join or leave mid-month?
Pro is billed per user per month. When you add or remove someone mid-period, the difference is prorated and shows up on the next invoice. You always see "N users at €3 = €N×3 per month" on the billing page.
How do I cancel or downgrade, and what happens to the data?
Cancel from the billing page at any time; the subscription runs to the end of the paid period. If the workspace is then above the Free limits, nothing is deleted: the workspace stays readable and you are asked to archive projects or people until you are within 5 users and 3 projects. You can also export everything as a ZIP first.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Card payments, handled by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers. Invoices are available on the billing page in the app.
Is there a trial?
Pro has a 10-day trial with no card. When it ends you choose to add a card or drop back to Free. Free itself has no time limit.
Can I pay in pounds?
Yes. Workspaces in the UK are billed £2.99 per user per month. Everyone else is billed in euros.
Start on Free, invite your team, and upgrade only when you pass 5 people. No card until then.
